From historic Perricoota station on the banks of the Murray River near Moama to the former worker’s cottage a Queensland collector has turned into a stunning showpiece, we’re delving into grand Australian traditions and the families who maintain them. Bebeah garden at Mount Wilson is another landmark, where 130-year-old specimen trees have provided a spectacular outline for master designer Miguel Alvarez to colour in and we’ve a producer profile from Norfolk Island where the landscape is as rich as the legacy of the convict and colonial past. Our travel story heads to Tasmania where we joined a select band of night owls committed to capturing images of the extraordinary phenomenon that is the Aurora Australis and we came back from Hobart on a Princess Cruises ship that doubled duty as a floating picture palace for a mini version of the Sydney Film Festival.
